” ….wake me up when its over, wake me up when its done. When he’s gone away and taken everything,..wake me up. Wake me up when the skys are clearing, …when the water is still, ….cus I will not watch the ship sail away so please say you will. If it would be any other day, this wouldn’t get the best of me. Today I’m not so strong, so lay me down with a sad song. When it stops, then you’ll know Ive been gone too long. Don’t shake me awake,…. don’t bend me or I will break….find me somewhere between my dreams and the sun on my face. I will still feel it later on, but for now I’d rather be asleep. …”                                           -Norah Jones, wake me up

“Though I’d like to be the girl for him,…. and cross the sea and land for him,…On milky skin my tongue is sand until the ever distant band begins to play. He’s my Brandy Alexander, always gets me into trouble , but that’s another matter, Brandy Alexander. Though I know what I love most of him, I’m walking on needles and pins, my addiction to the worst of him, the low moon helps me sing. I’m his Brandy Alexander, always get him into trouble,
I hide that I am flattered,…. Brandy Alexander…”                      – Feist

“And all the cold,…dust,…in her eyes…won’t reform into to rain. You had and loved, the one thing, you kept in a safe place, remember
her face ,..the girl who made you her own….and how you left her alone…”      -Joshua Radin, star mile
